Conscious Ventures (CV), socially responsible CSR & ESG consulting group has entered into new partnership with Quebec/Canada based “The World Centre of Excellence for Destinations (CED)” for India.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) issigned between Prof. (Dr). Francois Bedard, CEO of CED & Dr Anil Jaggi Founder “Conscious Ventures” with technical support from Mr. Maga Ramsamy, Head MHCI Consortium Ltd. Mauritius .
The World Centre of Excellence for Destinations (CED) was created in 2007 with the support of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) with clear mission to guide destinations worldwide towards excellence by supporting themin their efforts to foster sustainable development and increase their abilities to generateeconomic, social and cultural benefits, said Prof. Francois Bedard.
The purpose of this new partnershipis to work collaboratively with Conscious Ventures in India on creating strategies and disseminating know-how and good practiceswhich help tourist destinations reach excellence, mentioned Prof. Bedard.
With knowledge& intellectual support from CED, Conscious Ventures will identify & engage main stakeholders in this space and work towards their capacity building& advocacy programs with State Govt., Non Govt./CSOs & business bodies/chambers, said Dr Anil Jaggi, Founder & CEO – Conscious Ventures.
Engaged with global leaders like University of Sarawak- Malaysia, Roger Harris & Associates-Hong Kong, Global Peace Foundation-USA , Conscious Ventures is already working towards building culture of Responsible & Rural Tourism by reinforcing (strengthening) competitiveness of local stakeholders, said Dr. Anil Jaggi.
New partnership with CED will help inenhancing sustainable development of tourism, maximizing the social and economic benefits of the local community by improving quality of service and experiences; implementing geo-tourism, defined as “enhancing the geographical character of place, its environment, culture, aesthetics, heritage, and the well-being of its residents.”, said Mr Maga Ramasamy of MHCI, Mauritius.
