“Change the market before it changes you,” said Su-Kam Managing Director Mr. Kunwer Sachdev at India International Science Festival (IISF) held at Anna University.
Speaking on the topic ‘Process, Manufacturing and Electrical’ on the theme titled ‘Make-in-India’, Mr. Sachdev narrated how Su-Kam has been heralding innovations at a rapid pace.
“From introducing plastic body inverters, Su-Kam has indeed come a long way. All our latest products leverage the Internet of Things along with Artificial Intelligence and can be controlled even through Mobile Applications for analytics of the product. Furthermore, all our products are tested through in-house developed testing equipments that remove the margin of human error thus providing high-quality products to the customers,” he added.
Mr. Sachdev also briefed about newly- launched products, grid tie inverter and hybrid grid tie inverter. He explained that the former can work even at low voltage and is able to generate solar power even during low periods of sunshine. Su-Kam’s hybrid grid tie inverter is an artificially intelligent combination of a normal inverter and grid tie inverter which works as both Off-grid and On-grid system.
He further said that Indian solar sector has come a long way with renewable energy comprises 16% of India’s energy mix. This is expected to rise up to 40% by 2030. Tamil Nadu is among the leaders in the solar energy adoption with total solar installed capacity amounting to 1,702.40 MW.
The 3rd edition of India International Science Festival (IISF) 2017 was held in Chennai from 13-16 October 2017 at various venues including Anna University, Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Structural Engineering Research Centre (SERC), National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) and IIT-Madras.
The festival hosted sessions such as Special Thematic Session on Deep Ocean Research, Science & Technology Minister’s Conclave, Sensitizing Youth to Flagship Programs of Government (SYP), Science Village: Parliament to Panchayat, National Meet on ‘Social Organizations and Institutions’: ‘Transforming India through Science & Technology’, Women Scientists & Entrepreneur’s Conclave, National Science Teachers Workshops (Focusing North East States), Industry-Academia Interaction and Mega Science, Technology & Industry Expo and the like.
Organized by the Government of India, the aim of India International Science Festival (IISF) is to instill scientific temper among people and showcase Indian contribution in the field of science and technology over the years.
